The Future of Aphrodite

I'm personally not very happy with Aphrodite's gameplay. It's good enough for just one small level, but I cannot imagine an entire game of this kind of gameplay would be much fun. Especially since you can pretty much just spam left click on Endless Mode and it's the equivalent of a very slow expansion animation. So I need your feedback!

I was considering an actual alchemy-based minigame, similar to Potion Craft, where you'd need to test out various combinations of ingredients to find out which ones create the biggest expansions. Or maybe just a more skill-based game, like Tetris or Amoeblaster.

If you have any cool ideas please write below!

Currently many distractions are happening but don't worry, futa is coming.

personally i'd love it if you could pick what "games" you can play for the expansions. cause not every type of game works if you're planning on keeping the Endless mode available.

Ooh, maybe a unique minigame for each level? Amoeblaster, tetris, suika, match 3, rhythm... good idea...

...????????? You mean the word "futa"???

If so then it's because I never could have guessed that's a slur.

That's also because it isn't a slur. From what I found on the internet it's just a Japanese term for a woman who has both sexual parts as well as breasts. So like a hermaphrodite.

I also found that it can depend on the context. Calling a real person that, is probably not good, especially if they don't want to be called that. But a lot of people don't consider it to be offensive at all even if they don't enjoy that type of content. I would consider "trans" and "futa" to be completely different things though.

It's up to you if you wanna change it or not since I don't like that kind of content and thus don't really care what you do with it. That guy's comment just sparked a random bout of curiosity.

Yeah I checked Wikipedia out of curiosity too. Interesting... well nah I ain't changing it, it sounds better than "girldick" imo.

What, "futa"? Futa has nothing to do with trans people, never has, never will.
It's short for "futanari", the Japanese word for "hermaphrodite", someone who has both boy and girl "parts" and was probably born that way. If they've got a problem with the term, they should fly to Japan and go protest there.
Ignore anyone trying to steal the term out of the hands of futa fans (and I suppose Japan as a whole) to make it about trans people, they're just doing it for attention, there's no reason for you to fall for internet weirdoes making stuff up too.

Same as "trap", in the context of "boy who looks like a girl and tricks people into thinking he's a girl", though this one COULD be used as an insult if directed at MtFs that don't clarify they're trans until they're in bed with someone, so "trap" depends on context.

Honestly I'd love to see something else like the Tetris idea. Compared to Love Machine AL is just so unsatisfying. Especially when even outside of endless... you can perform at like 90% efficiency just by spam clicking and hoping for the best. I'd say there's a non-zero chance it's faster to just spam click and restart if you fail. I checked out AL once but I keep going back to LM every update and frequently going for all the badges.

Uhhhh.... idea, I guess:

  • Thinking of the alchemy idea above, detach the Suika part of the game from the girl expansion part, two separate entities within the game.
  • The Suika part is how you collect chemicals to work with, every merge gets you research towards that chemical and produces the larger ball, and if that larger ball merges, you get research towards the second chemical and so on.
  • Research a chemical enough and you get it for the alchemy minigame. (Dunno if it'd be "[#] merges = 1 use" or "[#] merges to unlock [chemical] forever" though.)
  • Easy chemicals are the fodder, you get tons of them and they're more like "currency" for the alchemy, the more you dump into a potion, the more effect it has, up to a certain limit so you can't one-shot the growth. (Maybe there's a potion size upgrade in the shop?)
  • Higher-tier chemicals are the "blue + yellow = belly / green + cyan = futa" type stuff, the baseline ingredients to make the potions, the ingredients you need to experiment with.
  • Merging the biggest balls could result in a multiplier ingredient that makes potions way more effective, or it's some special ingredient that turns a potion into a max size increasing potion
  • Once you've made a potion, it saves the recipe in a list so you can make it again with one click.
  • Every character has different reactions to different potions, so you have to start the alchemy minigame testing over from scratch each time, so what might be a boob potion for one character could be a belly potion for another.
  • Could pad out the recipe list and save a lot of time by including hair color potions, or having growth/shrinking versions of the potions be two separate recipes.

Can't really weigh in much since I just hate Suika games in general for being so overdone (even the lewd ones) and how they're so... RNG with success or failure (though powerups and abilities help for sure, and some games add a "bump" system to knock the balls around, which is nice.) Just sucks that pretty much every Suika game relies entirely on how predictable/unpredictable the balls bounce and how stable the physics are.
